## Important implementation status

This is a **Laravel application source overlay**, not a complete upload-and-run Laravel installation. It does not contain Laravel framework dependencies in `vendor/`. A complete Laravel project must be built on a development computer where Composer is available, and the resulting `vendor/` directory must be included before cPanel deployment. No Composer or terminal is required on the Namecheap hosting account itself.

The tool pages are catalogue/coming-soon pages at this stage. No document upload or conversion is enabled yet. A tool must not accept files or be represented as working until its processing handler, validation, private storage, authorization, file expiry and failure handling have been implemented and tested.

## Safe first deployment sequence

1. Build a fresh Laravel project matching the PHP/Laravel requirements on a development computer with Composer.
2. Merge this overlay into the fresh project, preserving the framework's `vendor/`, `config/`, standard migrations and other required files.
3. Test the project locally before deployment.
4. Create a new MySQL database and database user in cPanel.
5. Import `database/cpanel-install.sql` into the empty database using phpMyAdmin. This SQL is a starter schema/catalogue, not a migration runner.
6. Upload the complete Laravel project outside `public_html`; expose only Laravel's `public/` directory through the domain document root.
7. Configure production `.env`, HTTPS, storage permissions and backups.
8. Register your own account, then promote it to admin through phpMyAdmin using the SQL in `ADMIN_ACCOUNT_SETUP.md`.

## Hosting caveats

Shared hosting may not provide Ghostscript, Poppler, LibreOffice, Tesseract or ImageMagick delegates. Those tools must remain unavailable until verified. cPanel Cron Jobs can run scheduled cleanup scripts, subject to Namecheap's minimum interval and resource policies. Do not assume that Cron Jobs provide a persistent Laravel queue worker.
